Dr. Seuss' classic 1957 book and 1966 animated TV special come to the big screen. Jim Carrey is the bitter, green Grinch who contrives to steal Christmas from the devoutly happy Whos, who incessantly irritate him with their joyous caroling and holiday cheer. But when the Grinch slithers down to Whoville on Christmas Eve to load up his sleigh, an unexpected encounter with little Cindy Lou Who teaches him that the Christmas spirit is more than presents, decorations, and roast beast.
